I was beautiful then. People take a cuddly kitten for a summer and then leave it when autumn comes and the cat grows. I must think of a new life and I mustn't give in. Touch me, it's so easy to leave me all alone with the memory of my days in the sun. Cats surviving in the wild or living in shelters still wishing to be taken in and loved, they want a new life. Just now, I also made a new interpretation of this scene, much grimmer than what it seemed when I used to binge-watch this musical. Maybe Grizzabella actually dies of cold/hunger/dieseases here and is thus naturally going to Heaviside Layer or kitty heaven because of that, and the other cats just show her empathy at her last moments on Earth.
